Milling is a cutting method based on the circular motion around the axis of the cutting tool (milling cutter) and combining the position of the milling cutter with the workpiece to remove excess material to create the desired shape. The milling process performed on a CNC machine is called CNC milling with automatic control of the computer system. The position between the milling cutter and the workpiece is performed through 3-axis, 4-axis or 5-axis translational movements of the milling cutter or workpiece.
